Federal Minister Westerwelle sends messages of condolence following Ethiopian plane crash

Following the crash in the early hours of an Ethiopian passenger aircraft near the Lebanese capital of Beirut, Federal Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle today (25 January) sent messages of condolence to Lebanese Foreign Minister Ali Hussein al-Chami and Ethiopian Foreign Minister Seyoum Mesfin.

On behalf of the German Government and the whole nation Westerwelle expressed his shock and sadness over the tragic plane crash, in which many Lebanese and Ethiopian nationals lost their lives. He also offered the victims’ families his condolences and heartfelt sympathy.
