Minister of State Pieper welcomes the awarding of the International Charlemagne Prize of the City of Aachen to Polish Prime Minister Tusk

Cornelia Pieper, Minister of State at the Federal Foreign Office, welcomes the decision by the Charlemagne Prize Board of Directors to award this year’s Prize to the Prime Minister of Poland, Donald Tusk.

Minister of State Pieper issued the following statement today in Berlin:

I am very pleased about the Board of Directors’ decision. The Charlemagne Prize stands for the growing together of the peoples of Europe. This is an idea very close to Prime Minister Tusk’s heart, as is his commitment to close and trustful German-Polish relations.“
