This afternoon (14 January), the Federal Foreign Office crisis unit convened once more. Experts from the Federal Foreign Office and other federal authorities discussed further action to ensure that German assistance reaches people as quickly as possible.

The crisis unit meeting was chaired by State Secretary Peter Ammon and was attended by the Haitian Ambassador to Germany, Jean Robert Saget.

Ambassador Saget was briefed on the work of the crisis unit and thanked the German Government for providing swift assistance.
