Federal Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle issued the following statement today (2 January) on yesterday’s suicide attack at a volleyball court in North-West Pakistan, in which – according to the latest reports – more than 90 people were killed and many others injured:

“I condemn this bloody attack in the strongest possible terms. We share the profound grief of the victims’ family and friends and wish those who were injured a speedy recovery. The acts of terrorism committed in Pakistan during the last few months demonstrate how vitally important regional cooperation and decisive action against terrorism are.”
