Werner Hoyer, Minister of State at the Federal Foreign Office, met his British counterpart Chris Bryant, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Europe, for talks in Berlin yesterday (17 December).

The talks focussed on the establishment and future role and tasks of the European External Action Service and on EU relations with Russia and other eastern partners.

In the evening, Minister of State Hoyer and Minister for Europe Bryant also met their French counterpart Pierre Lellouche, Minister of State for European Affairs and Commissioner for Franco-German Cooperation.
