On Thursday (10 December) Federal Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle will meet Kanat Saudabayev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, for talks at the Federal Foreign Office. The main focus will be bilateral relations as well as current regional and international issues notably in the light of Kazakhstan’s OSCE chairmanship in 2010.

In this connection the two ministers will also sign a readmission agreement and an agreement on the waiver of visa requirements for holders of diplomatic passports. The readmission agreement regulates how both countries will discharge their obligation to readmit any of their nationals illegally residing in the territory of the other contracting party.
