In response to today's attack on a police station in Palmanova on Majorca in which two policemen were killed and over 60 people injured, Federal Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier issued today (30 July) in Berlin the following statement:

“The Federal Government condemns this craven attack in the strongest possible terms.

In this difficult hour Germany stands shoulder to shoulder with Spain. We share the grief of the victims' friends and loved ones and wish those who were injured a speedy recovery.

The perpetrators and instigators of this attack must be found and brought to justice.”
