The Convention on the Rights of the Child will celebrate its 20th anniversary in November 2009. In this connection UNICEF Germany is organizing with the Federal Foreign Office a video workshop for pupils of the international Nelson Mandela School in Berlin. In one-minute clips 5th grade pupils will present their ideas and views on children's rights, as will Federal Foreign Minister Steinmeier.

With these so-called oneminutesJr. workshops UNICEF offers children and young people all over the world the opportunity to document their own situation. With the aid of the camera they record their lives and surroundings as well as the dreams, aspirations and fears that are part of their daily reality. Since 2003 over 2000 video clips have been made under this joint project of UNICEF, the European Cultural Foundation and the OneMinutes Foundation.
