Meeting of Special Representatives for Afghanistan and Pakistan in Munich

The Federal Government is working towards improving the coordination of the international community's commitment in Afghanistan. At the invitation of Ambassador Bernd Mützelburg, the Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan, Special Representatives from 15 nations will meet in Munich tomorrow (Wednesday, 1 April).

The consultations are aimed at more closely and directly linking international efforts in the region. The meeting will also provide an opportunity for the Special Representatives to discuss ways and means of their future cooperation.

Among those invited are the UN, US and EU Special Representatives, Kai Eide, Richard Holbrooke and Ettore Sequi, as well as their counterparts from other partner countries.
