According to Federal Ministers Steinmeier and Gabriel, economic recovery and climate protection go hand in hand

25.03.2009 - Press release

At the upcoming G20 Summit in London, the world’s leading economies will agree on further measures against the financial and economic crisis.

Federal Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Federal Environment Minister Gabriel have come out in favour of focussing on sustainable and ecologically viable programmes in the G20 process.

A study commissioned by the Federal Foreign Office from the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (Professor Ottmar Edenhofer) and the London School of Economics (Sir Nicholas Stern) has shown how investments can lead to “green growth”.
