Wednesday, 4 March, Federal Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier will meet for talks with Masoud Barzani, President of the Federal Region of Kurdistan-Iraq.

The discussion will focus on the close relations between Germany and the Kurdistan-Iraq region, including economic relations, as well as the current political developments in Iraq and the situation for Christians and Yazidis in Kurdistan-Iraq.

Federal Minister Steinmeier already met with President Barzani in Erbil, where he opened the new German Consulate-General, during his visit to Iraq two weeks ago.
