At the Federal Foreign Office on Monday (9 February), Minister of State Gernot Erler will open the ceremonial event to mark the tenth anniversary of the German-Ukrainian Forum.
The German-Ukrainian Forum is Germany's most important association promoting intersocietal contacts between Germany and Ukraine. It was founded at the Federal Foreign Office in 1999.
Keynote speakers will include Volodymyr Khandogiy, First Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine, and Andrej Kurkov, one of Ukraine's best-known writers. A panel discussion will address the prospects for German-Ukrainian relations.
