The German Government strongly condemns the illegal launch of several ballistic missiles by North Korea since 9 March. The missile launches pose a severe threat both to the security of our partners in the region and to international security.

North Korea is bound to the complete, verifiable and irreversible ending of its programmes to develop weapons of mass destruction and ballistic missiles. North Korea’s ongoing violations of relevant UN Security Council resolutions are deeply worrying. We call on North Korea to fully implement the decisions of the Security Council.
