On 22 and 23 February 2022, Minister of State Tobias Lindner will visit the United Nations in New York. He is making this trip to attend a session of the UN General Assembly on Ukraine, where he will speak on behalf of Germany. Overall, his trip will focus on the Russia crisis, which he will also discuss with representatives of the American political class, members of think tanks as well as experts. He will also have talks with members of the Secretariat of the United Nations, among other things on peacebuilding, an issue very important to Germany.
From 23 to 25 February, he will then visit Washington, where the focus will again be on the Russia crisis. Within the framework of the close transatlantic partnership between the German Government and the US Administration, Minister of State Lindner will have talks in the US State Department, the National Security Council in the White House as well as with foreign and security policy experts. Furthermore, he will discuss feminist foreign policy with think tanks.
