The Consulate General in Hong Kong is responsible for Macao. Alongside international partners and the local authorities, the Consulate General endeavours to preserve and maintain the Old Protestant Cemetery and Morrison Chapel located on it. This historic site was added to the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage list in 2005. Furthermore, several German professors teach at the University of Macao.
