Accessibility in emergencies
The German diplomatic missions in Poland can be reached outside of office hours via an on-call service that helps German citizens in urgent emergencies only. The on-call service's job is to provide advice for self-help in temporary, urgent emergencies. You can reach them at the following times:
- Monday to Thursday from 4:30 p.m. to midnight
- Friday from 1:30 p.m. to midnight
- Saturdays/Sundays and public holidays from 8 a.m. to midnight
The mobile phone number is:
+48 605 682 347 (German)
+48 604 836 590 (Polish)
If you have to contact us by SMS in exceptional circumstances, for technical reasons you are asked to provide a telephone number in the text of your SMS so that we can reply.
Please note that in many cases the on-call service depends on decisions made by German and/or Polish authorities, who cannot be reached outside of regular office hours. The on-call service's ability to provide assistance is therefore limited.
The on-call service is responsible for emergencies involving German citizens throughout Poland.
