Minister of State Link on first visit to Warsaw since assuming office

Minister of State Michael Link is paying his first official visit to Warsaw today (14 February). There he will meet, among others, Mikołaj Dowgielewicz, the Secretary of State for European Affairs and Economic Policy at the Polish Foreign Ministry. Their talks will focus on current European issues, for instance the fiscal compact, the promotion of jobs and growth, as well as European external policy.

In this connection Minister of State Link issued the following statement in Berlin today (14 February):

“Europe is facing major challenges. As champions of further European integration, Germany and Poland are ready to tackle these challenges and to put forward constructive proposals on how to master them. Poland’s successful EU Presidency and Germany’s active support showed that together the two countries can achieve much for Europe.”
