The 28th German-Brazilian Business Forum convenes from 30 May to 1 June 2010. On Monday (31 May) Federal Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle will deliver a speech on the prospects for German-Brazilian relations at this meeting of high-level representatives from industry and politics in Munich.
Brazil is Germany’s most important trading partner in the region. The organization of two major sporting events – the FIFA World Cup 2014 and the Olympic Games in 2016 – presents German companies with a wealth of opportunities for enterprise in Brazil. With this in mind Federal Minister Westerwelle will also meet with representatives of the “Brazil Board” of the Federation of German Industries in Munich in order to gain an impression of investment opportunities in the infrastructure, energy, environmental technology and innovation sectors.
At a fringe meeting Federal Minister Westerwelle will have talks with Brazil’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Antonio de Aguiar Patriota.
