This Thursday (6 May) the 13th WDR Europe Forum will take place at the Federal Foreign Office. Under the joint patronage of Federal Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle and President of the European Parliament Jerzy Buzek, the Forum will give senior European politicians and journalists an opportunity to discuss the European Union’s central future issues. The debate will focus on Europe’s viability following the entry into force of the Lisbon Treaty, strategies for a new European economic and employment policy, and the possible impact of the financial crisis on the eurozone.
Present at the Federal Foreign Office will be among others Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel, Federal Minister Westerwelle, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia, Božidar Djelić, the Vice-President of the European Parliament, Dagmar Roth-Behrendt, and the EU Commissioner for Regional Policy, Johannes Hahn.
