Federal Foreign Office informs on travel and health

10.03.2009 - Press release

This year, under the motto of “We want you to travel safely”, the Federal Foreign Office will once again provide detailed information on travelling abroad at the International Tourism Exchange (ITB) travel trade show in Berlin.

From Wednesday 11 to Sunday 15 March 2009, in Hall 24 (Stand 101), Federal Foreign Office staff will be on hand to explain about the travel and security advice for various holiday destinations, as well as giving tips on what travellers can do in emergencies. They will also specify when travellers can be assisted by a German mission abroad and what help can be provided. Visitors to the stand can take away the Federal Foreign Office's travel-advice booklet which contains more helpful hints.

In addition, from Friday 13 to Saturday 14 March, the Federal Foreign Office Health Service and the Düsseldorf Centre for Travel Medicine (CRM, Centrum für Reisemedizin Düsseldorf) will be organizing the 10th Travel and Health Forum. This year's focus will be on “adventure travel”. Around 600 doctors and chemists from all over Germany will meet for the Forum in Room 3 at the ICC Berlin.

Detailed information (in German only) on the Forum and about possible participation is available at www.crm.de
