Federal Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier is to visit a showpiece example of German-Polish cooperation in the field of science:
On Wednesday (10 September) he will pay a visit to the German-Polish Summer School for Microsystem Technology. The Federal Minister will talk to Summer School participants and see at first hand work done in the laboratory.
The German-Polish Summer School for Microsystem Technology is being organized jointly by the Brandenburg University of Applied Sciences and the Poznan University of Technology (Politechnika Poznanska). It was designed to offer ten Polish and ten German students the chance to carry out practical work in the laboratory during a two-week English-language programme.
Cultural events will be organized in both cities for the students. This year's German-Polish Summer School has been made possible by financial support from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the Foundation for German-Polish Cooperation.
