Following the violent clashes between 18 and 20 February 2014, Ukraine is experiencing a period of upheaval. Part of its territory has been annexed by Russia in violation of international law. In close coordination with Germany’s European and international partners, Foreign Minister Steinmeier is seeking intensively to bring about a peaceful resolution to the crisis.
