Welcome
Apply now: The Shimon Peres Prize

The Shimon Peres Prize is being awarded for the second time this year. Applications for this year’s Prize can be submitted until 6 April.

Young people who have been working together to promote German-Israeli relations during the last three years can apply. The Prize is funded by the Federal Foreign Office and is awarded annually in cooperation with the German-Israeli Future Forum Foundation.
The initiative, intended to commemorate Israel’s former President Shimon Peres, who died in 2017, came from Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and was taken up by Federal Foreign Minister Gabriel. In the first year, it was awarded to two impressive German-Israeli cooperation projects: “Störung” is a scientific dance project with people suffering from Parkinson’s disease, while “Migration Hub” strives to improve economic and social integration opportunities for refugees.
