On Tuesday, 15 May 2018, Minister of State Niels Annen will open an international expert discussion on the contribution international criminal courts and other institutions can make towards peace and justice.

The experts – including Navanethem Pillay, former UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, and Michelle Jarvis, Deputy Head of the International, Impartial and Independent Mechanism on international crimes committed in the Syrian Arab Republic – will discuss the possibilities and challenges which arise on a daily basis in the fight against impunity in Syria, the former Yugoslavia and elsewhere in the world.
