Foreign Minister Steinmeier on the release of a German national in Afghanistan
Foreign Minister Steinmeier issued the following statement on 17 October on the release of a German national in Afghanistan:
I am very relieved that our fellow German is free again and that she is in as good shape as can be expected under the circumstances.
I would like to thank the Afghan Government and its security forces, as well as our partners in Resolute Support.
