Human Rights Commissioner Löning shocked by assassination attempt against Bulgarian politician
Federal Government Human Rights Commissioner Markus Löning expressed shock and horror at the attempted assassination of Ahmed Dogan, the chair of Bulgaria’s Liberal Party.
I’m extremely pleased that Ahmed Dogan has survived the attack unscathed. Political violence must never again be allowed to take root in Europe.
Markus Löning was an eyewitness of the attack, which occurred at a party congress he was attending in Bulgaria.
