Opening of the 69th session of the UN General Assembly Foreign Minister Steinmeier travelled to New York for the opening of the 69th session of the UN General Assembly in New York from 23 to 27 September 2014. This year’s discussions focused on the fight against the Islamist terrorist organisation ISIS, the ebola epidemic and the crisis in Ukraine.
Steinmeier in India: Intensifying cooperation Foreign Minister Steinmeier met Indian Prime Minister Modi in New Delhi on Monday (8 September). Economic and cultural cooperation were also on the agenda of his visit.
