Germany’s human rights policy has a very concrete goal: to prevent human rights abuses and protect fundamental freedoms.
Article 1 paragraph 3 of the Charter of the United Nations commits to "... promoting and encouraging respect for human rights and for fundamental freedoms for all without distinction as to race, sex, language, or religion".
The German Government is working hard to see human rights universally respected. The 10th report covers a detailed picture of developments from 2010 to 2012.
