Libya: Securing weapons and destroying land mines, munitions and explosive remnants of war
Landmines and other remnants of war which were left behind by the Gaddafi regime pose an ongoing danger to the people of Libya. The National Transitional Council intends to join the Ottawa Convention banning anti personnel mines and destroy the country’s mine stockpiles.
