Federal Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier held talks with -among others- President Nazarbayev in the Kazakh capital Astana on 9 and 10 November. The focus was on the further development of bilateral relations as well as international issues. Steinmeier emphasised that Kazakhstan was a "bridge between East Asia and Europe".
