Foreign Minister Westerwelle warns Syria against using chemical weapons

In response to reports that the Syrian regime may consider using chemical weapons, Foreign Minister Westerwelle issued the following statement today:

I want to make it absolutely clear to the Syrian regime that the use of chemical weapons would be totally unacceptable.
Anyone even considering such a step should know that the world will hold them to account.
We call for an immediate end to the violence in Syria and the transfer of power to transitional institutions.
