Apply now: Scholarships for the College of Europe

Current debates have rarely been dominated to such an extent by EU affairs as nowadays – debt crisis and banking union are only two of the catchphrases. The College of Europe in Bruges/Natolin has been dealing with issues like these on a daily basis for more than 60 years. Four hundred postgraduates from all over the world are studying here, getting first hand experience of Europe.

The application and selection procedure for the academic year 2013/2014 is starting now throughout Europe. In Germany approximately 35 university places and scholarships may be granted. In Germany, the application and selection procedure is organized by the Network European Movement Germany.

The College of Europe is the oldest and most renowned university institute for postgraduate studies and training in European affairs. Since its foundation in 1949, many thousands of graduates have started successful careers in European and international institutions, parliaments, companies and associations. Campus life at the College of Europe in Bruges (Belgium) and Natolin (Poland) is almost unique in Europe: students live and learn together in an international atmosphere.

Studying Europe

Every year around 400 highly qualified university graduates from more than 50 countries study at the College of Europe. Courses are taught by internationally renowned professors and experienced practitioners. The ten month study programme is offered in two languages (English and French). The College of Europe in Bruges offers master’s degrees in the fields of EU legal studies, economic studies, political and administrative studies as well as international relations and diplomacy studies. The Natolin Campus of the College of Europe offers a master’s programme in European Interdisciplinary Studies. Students may specialize in different fields in all master’s programmes.

Requirements for application: Applicants must hold a university or equivalent degree, preferably in law, economics, political sciences, public administration, international relations, European studies, history, philosophy or communication sciences, journalism, social and linguistic sciences, geography and related fields. The closing date for applications for the academic year 2013/14 is 15 January 2013.
