Within the framework of an arms control partnership between the Federal Republic of Germany and post-revolution Libya, the Federal Foreign Office is funding a multi-year programme to improve the security situation in Libya. The programme to enhance security sector capabilities, which is being implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), will be complemented by an EU programme to improve the stockpiling of weapons and munitions. more
