The Coordinator of Transatlantic Cooperation

Jürgen Hardt

The United States and Canada are Germany’s closest allies outside Europe. Large areas of common interests, shared challenges and values form a bond between the two sides of the Atlantic. The post of Coordinator of Cooperation with the USA and Canada was thus created in the Federal Foreign Office in 1981. As of 30 April 2014, Member of the German Bundestag Jürgen Hardt has occupied this post. more

Dietmar Woidke

Dietmar Woidke is the Coordinator of German-Polish Intersocietal and Cross-Border Cooperation. His task is to help the two societies further enhance their ties and to advance joint German-Polish projects. more

Special Representative of the Federal Government for the Middle East Stability Partnership

Ambassador Joachim Rücker

Joachim Rücker was appointed as the new Special Representative of the Federal Government for the Middle East Stability Partnership in February 2016. His task is to pool and focus Germany’s interministerial efforts in the area of humanitarian, stabilising and sustainable development in the Middle East, particularly in Syria and neighbouring countries. more
