With its research and academic relations initiative 2009, the Federal Foreign Office expands its support for international academic exchange.
Existing measures to promote international academic exchange will be consolidated and extended, new instruments will be developed.
With the Research and Academic Relations Initiative 2009 we hope to raise Germany's profile as a centre of research and strengthen networks linking German researchers with their colleagues around the world. The Initiative was launched at a conference at the Federal Foreign Office on 19 and 20 January. Events abroad were to follow.
