Second Berlin Foreign Policy Forum: international policy experts to discuss questions central to German and European foreign policy

19.10.2012

The second Berlin Foreign Policy Forum, which is to be held this coming Tuesday (23 October 2012), promises high quality foreign policy debates and articulations of current positions. Over 200 high-ranking politicians, ambassadors, representatives from the business community, renowned journalists and academics have been invited to Berlin by the Körber Foundation and the Federal Foreign Office to cast light on the challenges of international politics and point out solutions.

Europe at the crossroads – what kind of Europe do we want?” This is the question Foreign Minister Westerwelle, his British counterpart Hague and Finland’s Minister for European Affairs Stubb will tackle at the beginning of the conference.

The podium discussions that follow will focus on the state of the trans-Atlantic partnership, Europe’s role in the “Asian-Pacific” century and the role of political Islam. Other guests include Defence Minister de Maizière, former spokesman for Iran’s nuclear program Mousavian and many other expert panellists.
