06.11.2008

Tomorrow (7 November) Günter Gloser, Minister of State for Europe at the Federal Foreign Office, will take part in the meeting of Weimar Triangle Ministers for Europe in Paris.

Minister of State Gloser and his counterparts Jean-Pierre Jouyet, the French Minister of State for European Affairs, and Mikolaj Dowgielewicz, the Polish State Secretary for EU Coordination, will discuss European policy on energy supplies, the Eastern Partnership and relations with Russia. With a view to Franco-German-Polish cooperation, another focus of tomorrow's meeting will be the promotion of school and youth exchange.

Minister of State Gloser issued the following statement in Berlin today (6 November):

"The Weimar Triangle between Germany, France and Poland is an important forum for exchanging views on the European agenda, particularly regarding the future shaping of our joint neighbourhood policy. I'm therefore pleased that, after a long break, a meeting of Weimar Triangle Ministers for Europe has been convened on the initiative of Minister of State Jouyet."
